Take a much needed break this spring and head to the charming town of Tiburon. Just a short 20-minute ferry […]
Starting this month, Friday Nights on Main is kicking off the party – Tiburon style – complete with outdoor dining, live music, dancing, shopping, and much more. During this highly anticipated Tiburon tradition, Main Street is closed off and the evening comes alive with a free street party that has something the whole family will enjoy.
After six successful summers, Friday Nights on Main has become a huge hit. The seven Main Street restaurants set up tables outside and serve up delicious food and drinks of all kinds. Try the sushi at Ginza, rib eye from Salt and Pepper, or the kids will love pizza from Waypoint. Friday Nights on Main is a great place to run into old friends or make new ones.
In the evening, live music kicks off at the end of Main Street. The music type varies each week with everything from reggae to country western to a polka band. This summer’s line-up includes:
May 31, “A Little Bit Country,” with the music of JT and The Pickups.
June 28, “La Dolce Vita,” an Italian tribute with a strolling accordionist and opera singers.
July 26, “Havana Nights,” a night of partying, dancing and music with a Latin flair.
August 30, “Tiburon Salutes the America’s Cup,” with the music of The Foggiest Notion.
September 13, “Oktoberfest”, with the Karl Lebherz Band.
September 20, the “Firemen’s Ball,” with the Fundamentals.
September 27, “Olympians,” with the music of Pablo Cruise.
Plan on getting to the event early – Main Street can get crowded later in the evening with up to 1,000 people in attendance.
The party winds down at 9:00 pm. During Friday Nights on Main, late night ferry service to the Ferry Building and Pier 41 will be available.
Just moments from the festivities, The Lodge at Tiburon is the perfect place to stay in Marin County this summer after Friday Nights on Main. To learn more about the comfortable accommodations or to book your next stay, visit http://lodgeattiburon.com.
